Maïs Glass Gem

Glass Germ Corn was produced by Carl White Eagle Barnes (June 18, 1928 – April 16 2016) a Cherokee, Irish-Scot farmer from Oklahoma.

He developed the corn as he noticed traditional strains of his ancestors corn popping up in his regular sugar corn.  He bred them to become the now famous Glass Gem Corn.  A true story of finding and reviving ancestral foods, Carl helped bring this beautiful corn to all of us.  This corn can be eaten fresh, popped or made into flour.
