Grown on the farm, this bolivian heirloom fruit is a staple in Indigenous culinary history. We obtained the original seeds from Annapolis seeds in Nova Scotia from our seedy friend Owen Bridge who absolutely insisted I try them out.  Are we happy we did!  They grow really fast, are prolific producers and can be eaten fresh off the vine or stuffed and cooked at low heat in the oven.  A must try for any adventurous gardener.

Sow: Indoor 3-4 weeks before last frost or direct seed 1 week after last frost 1’’ deep

Harvest:  When the fruit is green and a little softer than the unripe ones.
