Originally from Chile and Argentina this bean produced really well in Southern Quebec.  Rich tasting and about the size of a kidney bean, they are such a beauty to look at.

Produced on the farm, this striped brown and red bush bean originates from Chile. It resembles a pinto bean and has a very smooth taste which pairs well with chilis and soups.  We obtained the original seeds from Heritage Harvest Seeds, Manitoba.

Direct seed after last frost.

Harvest when bean is green for fresh beans.  Harvest when bean is dry and brown for dried beans.
