A Scottish variety that came to Canada (Turtle Island) in 1842 and was planted by David Fyfe and his wife Jane Beckett in Otonabee, Peterborough Ontario. This variety has a long history here and is very much adapted to our climate. An ideal wheat for your northern garden.
Other names in the US: Bernard Fife, Herman Fife, MacKendry Fife, MacKissing Fife, Philsbury Fife, WendonFife, Wilcox Fife.
Plant: Direct seed on surface of soil 1 week after last frost. Cover a little bit with some soil, but not too much.
Harvest: When the seed heads have grown plump and dried up.
