This beautiful bush bean produces an abundance of bean pods that have brown and pink speckled beans.  They keep their shape during cooking and are great in soups.  The origins of this seed is not confirmed but it is said to be from the Algonquins from Turtle island.

This bean is said to be the ancestor to the Heritage Doré bean that was protected by the Cantin family in Québec.  This geographically makes sense as there are many Algonquin communities in Québec/Turtle Island.  The original seeds are from Heritage Harvest Seeds in Manitoba.
