St-John’s Wort

We found this beautiful plant growing everywhere on the property when we arrived.  A beautiful perennial plant with shiny yellow flowers that are ‘perforated’ when held up to the sun, hence the latin name Hypericum perforatum.   We use the plant in our house for several treatments, I especially use it when I need some sunshine in my day.  It is important though to make sure you can use it as it can interact with some heart medicines and blood thinners.
