Grown on the farm, this beautiful flower originally came to us from Gabriel Beaulieu in Dunham Quebec. The flower has its origins in Europe where it was said that making a poultice out of the roots was able to relieve the itch from scabies and hence the latin rooted name 'scabere'. We love how this incredibly delicate purple and white flower turns into this geometric force of a sphere and stays that shape until you remove the seeds. This makes the Scabiosa flower perfect for dry cut bouquets and a stand out in your garden. It also attracts pollinators too!
Sow: Start indoor 2 to 4 weeks before last frost and transplant out after the last frost. Harvest: All season long while the flowers are healthy. Produced: Le Noyau [icons]
