Produced on our farm, this Japanese heirloom soy was revived by Jack Algier from Stone Barns Center. We got the seeds from the Hudson Seed Company when we were in Corvalis for the Organic Seed Growers conference in 2018. Easy to grow, it gives a huge harvest. We love how tough the stem is, which requires no tutoring to stand up straight. We even give the stems to our friends with rabbits so they can sharpen their little teeth!
Sow: Direct seed 2 weeks after risk of last frost, sow 1’’ deep.
Harvest: When the pods are bright green. For seeds harvest when brown
