Grown on the farm, this mexican heirloom fruit is a staple in Indigenous culinary history. We love either crunching them and adding to our favorite gin drink or pickling them for storage and later eating. We obtained the original seeds from Kim Craft, a wonderful and inspiring gardener from Frelighsburg, Quebec.
Sow: Indoor 3-4 weeks before last frost or direct seed 1 week after last frost 1’’ deep
Harvest: When the fruit is green and a little softer than the unripe ones.
